Tidal Gems is my line of necklaces created from genuine shells from the beaches in Norfolk, England & Nova Scotia, Canada. They are set with semi-precious stones and sterling silver findings (lobster or magnetic clasps, jump rings, & crimpers) and the shells have been coated in a waterproof varnish for longevity.
Please note that every shell and hence necklace is unique! No two are the same!
Tidal Gems are an ideal individual gift for that special someone in your life.
Jewellery Purchasing:
The jewellery images seen here are samples of the styles of necklaces and other pieces that I currently create. If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with the style, ie: oyster, brown, or black (these are very limited) shell, gemstone (colour preference or choose from list) or wood beads, lobster or magnetic clasp, & approx length, and I will create one for you.
Prices are listed in Canadian Dollars and are based not only on the materials but on the intricacy of the piece. (Currently, Tidal Gems necklaces are: Simple - $19 Lobster Clasp, $21 Magnetic Clasp, Intricate - $29 Lobster Clasp, $31 Magnetic Clasp.) Shipping costs will depend on where you would like the item shipped to, if you would like it gift-wrapped, + $2.50 for packaging/handling, or you may collect it locally.
Jewellery is non-refundable, but quality (outside of normal wear & tear) is guaranteed - if you should have any issues with your item, please contact me. Please remember though that the shells especially are delicate by nature - please wear accordingly. Thank you.
Jewellery Care:
All the finishings (findings) are sterling silver, however, I do not recommend that you soak them in a sterling silver jewellery cleaner as this will diminish the colour of the gemstones. Instead, please use a sterling silver polishing cloth to remove any tarnishing, and if necessary, gently clean the shell & gemstones with soapy water. Sterling Silver Polishing Cloths can be purchased through me also.
